MADAM FEMI CLAUDIUS-COLE, LEADER AND CHAIRPERSON OF UNITY PARTY DONATED SOME VERONICA BUCKETS AND BLEACH TO COMMUNITIES AROUND FREETOWN TO AID COMMUNITIES IN PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF THE DEADLY CORONA VIRUS.

As the last couple of months has left the world stumbled in dealing with the worst global health emergency, the deadly global pandemic coronavirus, it is imperative that individuals and institutions at community levels join forces with the government and global institutions working to restore the world to normalcy like the World Health Organization in fighting the battle as it is only winnable through our individual and collective efforts.

Unity Party, as a political institution believe in the unification of Sierra Leone and the world at large, thus putting people at the center of development and decision making.
The last couple of weeks has left the astute and proactive leader championing #TheFightAgainstCoronaVirus

Everyday, in her daily routine especially as a medical practitioner, she would talk to people around her, tirelessly works on initiatives aimed at stopping the spread of the deadly Corona virus, mostly focusing on actual actions that should be implemented especially at community levels where the risk of contacting the virus is high.

As she continue hosting productive dialogues with a lot of community leaders and youth groups to develop some pretty cool initiatives that offer the promise to stop the spread of corona virus, and totally prevent it from entering Sierra Leone, Madam Femi Claudius-Cole, Chairperson and Leader of the Unity Party, on behalf of the party on March 29th, 2020 visited and donated some Veronica rubbers together with bleach to four communities in Thompson Bay, Wilkinson Road (Madina, Mafengben, Cockle Bay and Dorkortee) to complement government's efforts towards the prevention and preparedness against covid 19 in Sierra Leone.

As Sierra Leone remains the only country in the region yet to be infected with the disease, it is very hopeful that with our collective and individual efforts, Sierra Leone would be an exception to this.

As the disease affects every facet of life; the economy is shrinking, political and social life is put at stake, jobs are closing, the aftermath of corona virus is getting more evidential every second we breath, it is therefore our responsibility to restore the world, it is our responsibility to make it work again, let us fix it.
As a party, our hearts and prayers are with the rest of the world especially countries badly affected, as we mourn the lives of those lost to the disease, let us take all precautionary measures from the World Health Organization and our Ministry of Health and Sanitation.

As we appreciate the efforts of the government in the fight against corona virus, we equally call for proper implementation of measures taken with no exception.
It is winnable if we fight it together, we can’t leave it all to the government and global institutions, it affects everyone
